IDACHABA FOUNDATION Board of Trustees approves N2.5 million research grants in 2006  

The Board of Trustees of the F. S. Idachaba Foundation for Research and Scholarship (IFRES) at its Third Board Meeting of 14 January 2006 considered and approved the second cycle of research grants to 9 of the 15 shortlisted applicants purely on merit regardless of ethnic or geo-political origin, sex, religion, academic discipline or mother tongue, with a combined grant value not exceeding N2.5 million. Projects approved for IFRES funding range from N223, 000 for “Rural Infrastructure and Household Income: An Analysis of farming households in Kwara State . ” by A.G. Ibrahim to a maximum grant of N270, 600 for “Health Nutrition and Labour Productivity among Female Farmers in Imo State Nigeria . ” by F.T Agulanna, with a median (middle) grant value of N255, 500 with the actual total value of N2, 269,500
